University of Torino - Faculty of Agriculture - DI.VA.PRA.
The University of Torino was founded in 1404. At present, the University has about 70.000 students, 1.300 professors and about 800 researchers. The campus of the Faculty of Agriculture is located in Grugliasco, close to Torino, and it carries on relevant research projects, with the support of advanced research and experimental facilities such as labs, experimental fields, greenhouses, the high altitude lab for snow and Alpine soil research (LNSA) at Col d’Olen-Monte Rosa, managed by DI.VA.PRA. The Faculty and DI.VA.PRA. cooperate with many international research centres, universities, governmental and non-governmental institutions.



Mountain Partnership Secretariat at FAO
The Mountain Partnership is a voluntary alliance of around 150 members – countries, intergovernmental and civil society organizations – working together to achieve sustainable mountain development worldwide. It is supported by a global Secretariat, hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), which assists members to develop collaborative activities in a wide range of thematic areas in many mountain regions throughout the world.


UNESCO within the framework of the "UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-20014)" UNDESD
The primary goal for the UNDESD is laid out in the United Nations General Assembly resolution 59/237 in which the General Assembly "encourages Governments to consider the inclusion ... of measures to implement the Decade in their respective education systems and strategies and, where appropriate, national development plans". Furthermore, the General Assembly "invites Governments to promote public awareness of and wider participation in the Decade, inter alia, through cooperation with and initiatives engaging civil society and other relevant stakeholders, especially at the beginning of the Decade".


Piedmont Region
The Mountain and Forest Directorate promotes planning and management mountain environments. Soil conservation and territorial planning are among its main objectives.


InWEnt
Capacity Building International, Germany, is a non-profit organisation with worldwide operations dedicated to human resource development, advanced training, and dialogue. InWEnt is commissioned by the German Federal Government, the German business sector, and the German Länder


Varallo Sesia CAI (Club Alpino Italiano) Section
The CAI (Club Alpino Italiano) was founded in Torino in 1863. The main goals of the association are the promotion of climbing, mountain research and protection, and environment and wilderness conservation.


Alta Valsesia Natural Park – Parco Naturale Alta Valsesia
The Park was founded in 1979 and it is the highest natural reserve in Europe, reaching the Punta Gnifetti in the Monte Rosa Massif (4559 m asl). Besides wilderness and natural resources protection, the Park is involved in several research activities, environmental monitoring programs, education and training.


Alagna Valsesia Municipality
Alagna is a village located in Valsesia, at the foot of the Monte Rosa glacier. The history of Alagna is strictly related with the Walser, a civilization of German origins, that settled in Valsesia during the Middle Ages, and determined a strong cultural and architectural influence.


Comunità Montana Valsesia
Comunità Montana Valsesia groups the Municipalities located on the Southern part of the Monte Rosa Massif, in the Vercelli Province (Piedmont), at the boundary with the Valle d’Aosta Region. The main activities of the Comunità Montana are related with territorial governance, decision making and financial planning.


Vercelli Province
The Vercelli Province is located in Eastern Piedmont, and it includes 86 Municipalities, of which 33 are located in a mountain region in the Northern part (Valsesia), and the rest in the flat area where rice cultivation occurs.


VConsortium for Sustainable Development of the Andean Ecoregion (CONDESAN)
CONDESAN links nearly 100 institutions from 17 Latin American countries, with a focus on applied research, information exchange, and policy development.

L'UNCEM - Delegazione piemontese persegue tali finalità a livello regionale.

Monterosa Ski Wide ski domain including three valleys (Ayas, Gressoney and Valsesia), with 180 km of ski runs.


Gressoney la Trinité It's a well known skiing and hiking station on the Monte Rosa, situated at 1637 m asl in Valle d'Aosta. It belongs to the Comunità Montana Walser Alta Valle del Lys.

ITALIAN ASSOCIATION OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES ASSOCIATIONS (A.I.S.S.A.) Founded in Florence in 1999, it is hosted at the Accademia dei Georgofili. It promotes the cooperation among the main Italian Scientific Associations working in the field of agricultural sciences.




University of Molise Founded in 1982, the University of Molise now hosts different Faculties: sciences, humanities, and economics. The University campuses and facilities are located in different sites in the Molise Region.

The World Wild Fund for Nature is the world's largest organization for the conservation of the environment. WWF Italy, founded in 1996, is an organization that with the help of private individuals, businesses and institutions, contributes to the conservation of environmental systems in Italy and in the world.
